Well, Here's a really scintillating and skillful performance by Deep Purple and this video is A MUST WATCH for everyone, especially if you are a musician ,no matter whether you are a vocalist or a guitarist or a bassist or a keyboardist or a drummer!

This song includes everything. Its basically a live jam of deep purple. The song is 'speed king'....

Later in the video, there's a Mind-blowing guitar-keyboard duo, then we have some really amazing bass-lines done by Glover and finally it contains a long drum solo by Ian Paice.

All you have to do is just watch this video patiently and try and admire the skills of these musicians. A very useful video for musicians overall !

What Can I Say About This One !! Every Rocker's Kinda Dream!!

This guitar is so much simple and Elegant looking and gives you that kind of a " grunge " sound that I just love in bands like Guns n Roses and Led Zeppelin ( These 2 bands are notable les paul users )

When I had started playing the guitar , I always used to try getting that grunge sound in my quite very cheap "Aria " guitar , using all sorts of Combinations in my also very cheap guitar processor !, but always used to cry to my dad that nothing works ! All of it sucks ! But then I came to Know of this Magnificent Guitar -The Les Paul model, which was the result of a design collaboration between Gibson Guitar Corp. and the late popstar , electronics inventor, and accomplished jazz guitarist Les Paul, who just amazed the world with his so much Innovative mind and designs , which were intended to be for his personal use, but later on became established in the market.




In 1951, a design collaboration between the Gibson Guitar Corporation and Les Paul had took place, and It was agreed that the new Les Paul guitar was to be an expensive, well-made instrument in Gibson's tradition.


Since then, The Magical , too much awesome sound of this guitar has been liked by most of the great guitarists, like Paul McCartney, Slash, Jimmy Page ( Gibson Also Launched A Jimmy Page Signature Model), Joe
Perry, Buckethead, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and many more !




This Guitar has the looks, its sound is amazing - a very rich tone and each note is very crystal clear , but the most disappointing thing is - "All Good Things Come at a Price !" , and so is this ,, Priced at about 2700 U.S.D. ( Rs. 1.5 Lacs approx ) !! , but its definitely worth it !


Definitely , its My Dream Guitar and I am surely going to purchase this one once I get the required money , because its really expensive !!

Covers- A Trailer Of What's Yet To Come!

Well well ...... This post is about the Importance of Covers for any rock band . Covers are basically songs of an established rock band performed by another band in its own style and understanding of the song! Though I cant say that covers are the ultimate or major way to judge a band , It may just be for only about 20-30% of the total points to a Band, But Yes, as the title of this post says- "Covers- A Trailer Of What's Yet To Come!" , they definitely reflect the band's actual knowledge and understanding of music as a whole .

For example, Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" was a simple ( but Original, though ) 3-chord Folk Song which was turned into a great Rock Song by the world famous Guitarist Jimi Hendrix who blended it with his great riffs and Mind-Boggling solos .




Then another of Dylan's songs, "Knockin On Heavens Door " ( Well, you must have got an idea by now that Bob Dylan was a great musician actually though the covers of his songs became more popular , but originality matters most Guys! ) , was also a simple rhythm song which was quite changed altogether in a rock rendition of it by the Hard Rock band "Guns n Roses". Slash ( Former GnR Guitarist ) gave beautiful solos in the song and was well supported by Axl Rose's vocals . Now this song is more famous in the name of GnR actually!!




Also, Surprisingly Enough , Limpbizkit Also Did A Memorable Cover Of " Behind Blue Eyes" Of The Who Which Is Also Now Much Critically Acclaimed ... but also considered as the worst cover song ever.




So, History Is Full OF Some Great Covers OF Various Great Bands And Artists .... So , Covers Are Very Important For A Band To Establish Itself Firmly . A Band Can Also Show Its Originality And Creativity By Covering Other Songs Since The Base OF the Song Has To Remain The Same , But Ultimately ITs The Band's Original Tracks That Express The Band Fully Since They Can Experiment Their Ideas And MAke It Go Whichever Direction They Want It To .....

So, Pull On Some Great Covers , Rockers !! Some Of The "Must Covers By Any Band" Are for example,- Stairway To Heaven, Hotel California, Smoke On The Water , Highway Star , And MAny More ......

The Use OF Monitor Speakers/Amplifiers

Well, I was having a performance with my band last night, and I figured out something very interesting which can lead many new bands to give awkward performances , unknowingly OFCOURSE!!!


When we used to jam in our homes, It was amazing . We had one normal room in our house and I used "Stranger" Amplifiers for my Guitar( because they're very cheap and of high quality) . But at the show , I couldn't even hear what I was playing ! The Reason -

We Didnt Get Any Monitor Speakers ..!!...( Or Instrument-Specific Amplifiers)


The amplifiers ( like Stranger And Marshall) actually give a direct , one-way sound and so, in a room, everyone can distinguish whether a guitar is being played or the keyboard . But normally in a stage show, the Auditorium Speakers are given to a band which give surround sound ( that is, Sound In All Directions ) and so only some part of the sound reaches our ears and we land UP at Sixes And Sevens!!


SO, Monitor Speakers( basically Normal Amplifiers specially for guitars / or keyboards) must be available for playing live .


So, Please Guys Watch Out ! Your First Performance May Be In Danger !
