It's Christmas with The Puppini Sisters!

Our Editor, Dr. Glenda Cosenza, got down to listen to a recently launched album titled "Christmas with The Puppini Sisters", and here's what she had to say :

This album is extremely "retro"! The Puppini Sisters are reincarnations of the 1940s girl group, The Andrews Sisters-- close harmony and the standard swing style of the 1940s and early 50s. So for people of my mom's generation, this will be VERY popular indeed, but, I do not really see it attracting a younger audience.

The performances are GOOD, but not of a professional level in terms of the quality: Intonation issues; quite unexciting musical material. A kind of a standard good, amateur quality.

The sound quality was average: The vocals are very PROMINENT, and the instrumentals are just OK. Again, everything is so retro; it's rather startling. The kind of thing you would hear in the department stores on the P.A. system while you are holiday shopping!

So folks, if you're into the Retro style of the 1940s, you can give this album a try, else, It hasn't got much in store for you !
